Chasubles are one of the main liturgicals worn by priests during Mass. Isidore of Seville wrote that the word “chasuble” means “small house” because originally the vestment was so wide that it entirely enveloped the celebrant. Today, sacerdotal chasubles can vary by color (according to the liturgical calendar), shape and style. Vebi Confezioni offers multiple variants, with those in the Première line entirely made by hand:green chasubles for ordinary mass; white chasubles and red chasubles for important masses and feast days; violet chasubles for Advent and Lent; rose chasubles for Gaudete Sunday and Laetare Sunday; and Marian chasubles for celebrations dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
